This Boot Was Made For Walkin’…
Jewelry, stocks, art, electronics…what’s the best money you ever spent? For me, the single investment that has given me the most bang for my buck is my handy dandy air cast walking boot.
I first got the boot as a result of an unplanned trip down the stairs in my early twenties. It was my first experience with a broken bone, and the boot saw me through every ache and pain and helped my foot go from an unidentifiable purple blob to a nice pink human-looking foot, and all in just a few short weeks.
A few years later, I fell down the stairs…again. (I promise you, I have traveresed thousands of staircases without error, but fell victim – literally – on two occasions.) The doctor immediately suggested a walking boot, and much to the relief of my medical bill, I already owned one.
I now sit staring at my latest 50 shades of purple foot, and the boot is again part of my daily ensemble. I slipped and fell last night, but don’t worry, no stairs were harmed in the making of this newest broken foot. I went to the doctor and pulled the boot out of retirement for one last (please let this be the last) stroll.
This boot is like bail money, you hope you never need it, but when you do, you are relieved that it’s there…and this boot has always been there, and I know that even after I am healed, this boot will continue to be there
…in my front coat closet
…within easy reach
…just in case.

Speedy recovery and I hope this was the last outing for the notorious boot!
Thanks! I’d like to think third time is a charm, in that, I will never have to boot-up again
